Moving – a piece of speech and action
Artist Natalie Brück activates the exhibition space with the speech and action piece "Moving" with several performers on Sunday, August 7 at 5 pm in the courtyard of the Stadtgalerie Saarbruecken.
The piece "Moving" ties in with the group of works "Arbeiten am imaginären Gegenstand" ("Working on the Imaginary Object") begun in 2019. This is about dealing productively with not (yet) understanding and trying to come to terms with ideas that are not one's own. The movement sequences that result from working on imaginary objects make them visible in the first place and, together with texts spoken by the artist, form the choreography of the piece.
The artist works together with different performers. Together they also try to capture moments of action as individual images within a situation. These are always integrated into their constantly changing environment. Against the background of the intangible, Natalie Brück also thinks about the relationship between language, action and time:
"The images and words flow, falter and jump as I try to verbalize my ideas. It seems as if things elude me the moment I try to name them, because both they and I are in a constant process of development."
Can we form a community capable of action, capable of responding flexibly and agilely to the situation and shaping it through our actions?

Die Künstlerin Natalie Brück aktiviert den Ausstellungsraum mit dem Sprech- und Handlungsstück „Bewegen“ mit mehreren Performer*innen am Sonntag, den 7. August um 17 Uhr im Innenhof der Stadtgalerie.
Das Stück „Bewegen“ knüpft an die 2019 begonnene Werkgruppe „Arbeiten am imaginären Gegenstand“ an. Dabei geht es darum, mit dem (noch) nicht Verstehen produktiv umzugehen und zu versuchen, sich mit Ideen, die nicht die Eigenen sind, auseinanderzusetzen. Die Bewegungsabläufe, die aus dem Arbeiten an imaginären Gegenständen resultieren, machen diese selbst erst sichtbar und bilden gemeinsam mit von der Künstlerin gesprochenen Texten die Choreografie des Stückes.
Die Künstlerin arbeitet mit wechselnden Performer*innen zusammen. Gemeinsam versuchen sie Handlungsmomente auch als einzelne Bilder innerhalb einer Situation festzuhalten. Diese sind immer auch eingebunden in ihre jeweils sich stetig verändernde Umwelt. Vor dem Hintergrund des Ungreifbaren denkt Natalie Brück auch das Verhältnis von Sprache, Aktion und Zeit:
„Die Bilder und Worte fließen, stocken und springen, während ich versuche, meine Ideen zu verbalisieren. Es scheint so, als entzögen sich mir die Dinge in dem Moment, in welchem ich sie benennen will, weil sowohl sie als auch ich mich in einem ständigen Entwicklungsprozess befinden.“
Können wir eine handlungsfähige Gemeinschaft bilden, die in der Lage ist, flexibel und beweglich auf die Situation zu reagieren und diese durch unser Handeln zu formen?
