Artist Statement
When an observation or an experience triggers a strong reaction in me, the reason is usually that it already contains a conflict, whose insolubility is expressed in the absurdity of the contexts. My artistic works arise from situations I have experienced and observed, that affect me. I share these emerging feelings and thoughts with other people through new stagings as videos, speech pieces and performances. I am aware that in the end I can only perceive from a subjective point of view. Nevertheless, I try to look at circumstances from different perspectives.
Wenn eine Beobachtung oder ein Erlebnis eine starke Reaktion in mir auslöst, liegt der Grund meist darin, dass in ihr bereits ein Konflikt enthalten ist, dessen Unlösbarkeit sich in der Absurdität der Zusammenhänge ausdrückt. Meine künstlerischen Arbeiten entstehen aus von mir erlebten und beobachteten Situationen, die mich berühren. Diese aufkommenden Empfindungen und Gedanken teile ich durch Neuinszenierungen als Videos, Sprechstücke und Performances mit anderen Menschen. Mir ist bewusst, dass ich letztlich nur aus subjektiver Sicht wahrnehmen kann. Dennoch versuche ich Verhältnisse aus verschiedenen Perspektiven zu betrachten.
